Acts 2:2

Today is the day! Leaps and Bounds is finally here, and God’s presence is about to fill this place. You’ve been preparing, consecrating yourself, and raising your expectations. Now, it’s time to position yourself to receive all that God has prepared for you. This isn’t a time to be passive but to actively engage with what God is doing. Even if you haven’t prepared as much as you wanted to, even if you feel like you’re coming in at the last moment, it’s not too late to receive from God.

As you prepare for the meeting and continue to wait with expectations, understand what happens in gatherings of believers. It is always a life-changing event. In fact, the scriptures point us to this fact.

Look at what happened at Pentecost in Acts 2. The disciples were gathered together in one place, waiting as Jesus had instructed them.

Acts 2:2
New King James Version

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

The Holy Spirit came, and every single person in that room was filled. Not one was left out—not the most educated or the least, not the most spiritual or the newest believer. All of them received because all of them were positioned with expectation.

Nobody will be left out of this meeting. Say, “I will not be left out of this meeting.”

And to show you how good God is, we know that there is no barrier or distance in the Spirit.

Remember the account in Numbers 11? When God told Moses to gather seventy elders to receive the Spirit, two men named Eldad and Medad remained in the camp. They didn’t make it to the designated meeting place, but that didn’t stop God from reaching them!

Numbers 11:26
New King James Version

26 But two men had remained in the camp: the name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle; yet they prophesied in the camp.

Even though they weren’t physically where everyone expected them to be, the Spirit of God found them where they were! This is a powerful reminder that our positioning doesn’t limit God. He is looking for hearts that are open to receive.

So, wherever you are, let there be no limitations to meeting with God. Scriptures have already shown us God’s track record of showing up in a mighty way.

Think about the four friends who carried their paralyzed friend to Jesus in Mark 2. When they couldn’t get through the door, they didn’t give up—they opened up the roof!

“When they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying” (Mark 2:4 NKJV).

Their determination to receive from Jesus positioned their friend for healing. Their faith created an atmosphere for a miracle.

Receiving from God requires us to be like that paralytic’s friends—willing to remove any barrier that stands between us and what God has for us. Today, as you enter the sessions, don’t let distractions, doubts, or delays keep you from encountering God’s presence.

Think about blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10. When Jesus passed by, he didn’t whisper politely—he shouted at the top of his lungs! “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Mark 10:47 NKJV). When people told him to be quiet, he shouted even louder! His desperate faith positioned him to receive his sight. He understood that you don’t casually encounter the miraculous—you pursue it with everything you have.

So, how do you position yourself to receive today?

First, come with a hungry heart. Don’t just come to observe what God is doing; come desperate to experience Him personally. God responds to spiritual hunger.

Second, remove every distraction. Put your phone away. Set aside the worries of tomorrow.

Luke 10:42
New King James Version

42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.

Be fully present in each session. Like Mary who chose the “good part” by sitting at Jesus’ feet, choose to focus entirely on what God is saying and doing.

Third, receive with faith. When the worship starts, don’t analyze it—enter into it. When the Word is preached, don’t just hear it—receive it as God speaking directly to you. When the cases are called, don’t hesitate—respond immediately.

Finally, remember that what happens today isn’t meant to stay within these walls. The disciples received power at Pentecost not just for themselves but “to be witnesses” to the world (Acts 1:8 NKJV).

What God gives you today is meant to overflow into every area of your life.

Your declaration for today:

* I am positioned to receive

* My heart is open to God’s voice

* I will not miss my moment

* What God starts today will continue beyond this meeting

This is your day of encounter. Like Jacob at Bethel, you have the opportunity to say, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it” (Genesis 28:16 NKJV).

Like the disciples in the upper room, you can be filled with the Holy Spirit in a way that transforms your life forever.

Prayer Point:
Father, I come with expectation today! I refuse to be a casual observer. I position myself to receive everything You have for me in Leaps and Bounds today!

Open my eyes to see! Open my ears to hear! Open my heart to receive all that You have prepared for me!
