In a few days, we will be having our meeting with the LORD at Leaps and Bounds. It’s not just a cause for excitement; it’s a cause for much preparation and consecration to the LORD. We must take heed to ourselves by giving ourselves to more of God than ever before. We must respond like people who understand who it is that called us for a meeting; we must respond like people who know the value of a meeting with God.

Some of us may have to sacrifice certain things to attend, and it’s totally worth it because meetings like these can change lives. This is a time when God is preparing to do something extraordinary in your life. This is your week to prepare, this is your time to set your heart right to receive from God.

Throughout scripture, those who positioned themselves with expectations always experienced the extraordinary. Remember the woman with the issue of blood from Luke

Luke 8:43-44

New King James Version

43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,

44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

While others saw meeting Jesus as merely an exciting activity, she saw an opportunity and set her expectations to receive from something seemingly little. Her faith was so fierce, so uncompromising, that she declared, “If I only touch His garment, I shall be made well”. Her expectation drew forth her miracle!

Look at the centurion who understood authority in a way no one else did. While others demanded Jesus’ physical presence, he recognized something different.

Luke 7:6-7

New King James Version

6 Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof.

7 Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.

“Just say the word,” he told Jesus, “and my servant will be healed” (Luke 7:7 NKJV). Jesus marveled at his faith because this man understood and expected that the words of Jesus were enough to do what needed to be done.

Like the Centurion, you must build your expectations to know that the word of God will meet you where you are in this meeting so much that as you honor the ministers and other believers, you can receive a miracle even without the physical laying on of hands.

This is about more than just hoping. This is about positioning yourself for a divine encounter.

Miracles aren’t random. They’re the result of aligned faith and divine purpose.

So how do you raise your expectations?

As the disciples waited for the promise of the Father, they didn’t just wait aimlessly- they were expectantly preparing. Their unified, persistent prayer created an atmosphere for manifestation, and every time of prayer in preparation for the meeting is set to do the same in your life: to cause a well of expectation.

Pray with fervor! Don’t just pray generic prayers – be specific. Cry out with intentionality. Write down your expectations in an expectation journal. Make them clear and tangible.

Study biblical encounters that stretch your understanding of what’s possible.

Surround yourself with faith-filled believers who will fan your spiritual flames.

Take advantage of this season of fasting and consecrate yourself.

And begin to declare now that

I expect supernatural encounters

I expect angelic interventions

I expect miraculous breakthroughs

I expect the manifest presence of God

Remember that when God calls a meeting, He’s inviting you into an encounter that can transform your life forever.

Prayer Point:
Father, I come with raised expectations! My heart is prepared, my spirit is alert. I refuse to limit You by my past experiences or natural understanding. Expand my capacity to receive. Awaken my expectations and ignite my hunger!
