Congratulations! You’ve made it halfway through the 60 days of fasting and prayer and it’s been a remarkable journey of building discipline, faith, hunger for the things God, discernment, sensitivity by the spirit and intimacy with God.

Before you take another step forward, stop for a moment and look back. To recognize what God has already done.

In a season like this, it’s easy to just keep pressing towards your spiritual goals and expectations, to be so focused on what’s next, and that’s not wrong but we must not forget to acknowledge and be grateful for everything thus far.

Psalms‬ ‭50‬:‭23‬ ‭
New Living Translation
23 But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.

Gratitude and thanksgiving honors God and the gifts he gives.

Luke 17:11-19
New King James Version
11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.

13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.

17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

When Jesus healed the ten lepers, only one returned to give thanks. And it was to that one that Jesus said, “were there not 10 that were cleansed?” Were there not any of God’s people that would come back to give him glory?

Take out time to give God glory for all that we’ve seen so far, Take out time to remember all that has been birthed in you and all you have learned over the past 30 days.

Yes, you’ve seen miracles, you’ve experienced breakthroughs, clarity in assignments, sharpness in the expression of spiritual gifts, healing and you’re still expecting more which is good but have you counted the blessings already in your hands.

Psalms 103:2
New King James Version
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:

Notice the command “forget not”. Gratitude begins with remembrance. It doesn’t have to be a dramatic breakthrough or miracle, remember even the seemingly small things: the strength to fast this long, the strength to pray through fatigue, the growth in your inner man, the quiet ways God has been aligning your heart with His will.

Every answered prayer, every battle you didn’t even realize God fought for you, every moment of peace in the storm, these are blessings.

And when you bring them to remembrance, when you count them, your faith is strengthened. Because the same God who has carried you thus far is the one who will take you through the rest of the way.

I Thessalonians 5:18
New King James Version
18
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Give thanks always and in everything. Even if everything is not yet how you want it to be, give thanks because this helps align your heart with God’s will

David, a man after God’s own heart, understood this well. He said:
Psalms 34:1
New King James Version
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Thanksgiving is a declaration of faith, that even in what you don’t yet see, even when you don’t have the full picture, God is still good, and you trust him regardless.

Celebrate what God has done. Rejoice in the progress. Praise Him not only for the results but for the process he’s taking you through, to equip you.

So today, take a moment to lift up praise; sing, shout, dance, write a list of thanksgiving. Celebrate His faithfulness. But also remember, in God there’s always more! Look how much we’ve seen in 30 days, imagine what could happen in 30 more days.

Ephesians 3:20
New King James Version
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us

You have seen a measure of His power, but there is more.
Gratitude is not complacency. It’s the fuel for more. After you’ve celebrated what God has done, look ahead with renewed expectation and a stronger conviction.

God is not done with you. This season is going to bring about a shift in your priorities, a recalibration of faith, a stretching of your capacity to accommodate God sized visions.

This halfway point is not a place to slow down; it’s a place to press on for more:
For more vision
For deeper intimacy
For divine strategies
For a renewed mind
For the supernatural breakthroughs that align with His will

Remember! Anything less than 7 days around the walls of Jericho would not have brought about the result they needed; likewise, for you, you must give yourself to these 60 days, nothing less.

So, I charge you brethren, to press on.
Isaiah 40:31
New King James Version
31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

You must wait in this season, so nothing that God has for you passes you by.

This is not the time to relax, thinking that you’ve come halfway and the end is near; no, this is the time to press in some more, persevere in prayer some more, stir up much more hunger.

Like we read earlier “unto him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think”, just when you think you’ve seen it all, just when you think you’ve arrived, many times that’s when God is just starting with you because there’s always more in him.

At this midpoint, you might want to reset.
Refocus your mind. Revisit your goals for this fast. Realign your heart with the reason God called this fast and check what distractions have crept in? What areas need pruning?

Reset your devotion if you became inconsistent at some point.
Restructure your schedule. Spend more time with the Word. Set your focus right again so that the next half of this fast is more intentional, more prayerful, more fruitful.

Then, repeat. Because consistency is where maturity grows.

Remember, those whose strength would be renewed. Those who would not faint, those who would not be weary, are they that wait.

Keep sowing in prayer.
Keep giving yourself wholly to the word.
Keep believing.
Keep fasting.

And as we press in deeper in this second half, do it with a heart of gratitude, go about it with such a strong faith that you’re not swayed by the happenings around you because what God is doing in your life in this season is far beyond what your eyes can see, he’s working from the inside out. And he wants you to trust him.

Prayer Point
Father, I thank You for how far You’ve brought me. You have sustained me through these 30 days. As I press in deeper in the days ahead, I am strengthened and my faith grows stronger until I receive all that you have for me.
