Bond Servant: Ministry of Reconcilliation
2 Corinthians 5:18-20
Matthew 28:19-20
New King James Version
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
This is not the “great suggestion” or a plea, it’s a command from God. As bondservants, we are called to partner with our Master in this mission. God’s desire is for the earth to be filled with the knowledge of His truth, and the call to make disciples of all nations is an extension of His plan to see all souls saved.
It was through this same gospel that you got saved, adopted into God’s family, and empowered to live for Him, therefore, you must play your part and share it to the world. With this mandate you’ve received, you must preach this gospel and produce result in the lives of others because nothing is more important to God than this.
1 Timothy 2:3-4
New King James Version
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
This was so important to God that He gave His life for it! He paid a debt He didn’t owe, made Himself of no reputation, and died our death so we might have eternal life. As bondservants, we must make His sacrifice worthwhile and treat the work of God with utmost importance.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20
New King James Version
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
The Apostle reminds us that every believer has been called to the ministry of reconciliation. This is not reserved for pastors, evangelists, or missionaries, it’s the calling of every believer! It is our responsibility to help men come to the knowledge of God. It is His desire that none should perish but that all be saved. So if soul winning ranks high in God’s agenda, it must be our priority too.
Luke 15:10
New King James Version
10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Understanding the worth of even one soul and the value God places on it should spur us to act with urgency! As bondservants, we must dedicate ourselves to fulfilling God’s plan and prioritize the work of spreading the gospel.
God has already made the ultimate sacrifice for souls, and we are called to place the same value on them. This should ignite a passion in us to share the good news. This is not a passive plea but an instruction that demands action
John 9:4
New King James Version
4 We must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
This is a wake-up call! The time to act is now, not later. The opportunity to fulfill this mandate won’t last forever, so we must do the work while we still can. We must be ready to devote out to seeing God’s plan come to fruition
The distractions and competing interests in the world today make it even more important to preach the gospel and win souls for God like never before.
The world is in desperate need of salvation, a gift that was freely given to us. Now, it’s our turn to share it with others. Evangelize, seize every opportunity, and make soul-winning a priority!
Prayer Point:
Father, I thank You for salvation and the gift You have freely given. As a servant devoted to Your cause, I recognize the urgency of the work and commit myself to fulfilling Your mandate. Help me to play my part in sharing the gospel and winning souls for Your kingdom.
