There are certain moments in the life of a believer that can mark a permanent change; moments where everything turns around forever and God Himself sets His hand upon you and shapes you into a version of yourself you could not have become on your own. This is what God does when He calls for a special meeting; this is the kind of experience that believers ought to have when the Lord calls for meetings like the Catalyst Camp.

God has promised that in the company of believers, as we give ourselves to much prayer, to the teaching of the Word, to the flow of the Spirit, as we spend more time with Him and rejoice in His presence, He will raise men and women who will be giants for the Kingdom; giants who will step into the call of God on their life with boldness; who will step into the call of God on their life equipped; who will leave this meeting emboldened by the Spirit of God to do the work of ministry.

When we come together like this, when believers gather and set time apart for the Lord, it is never ordinary. Time invested in the presence of God will always yield results. You will become a version of yourself that is better, fearless, yielded and ready to step fully into purpose. This is what this camp meeting can do for you; this is what God is set to do.

And we see this all through Scripture.
Moses spent time with God on the mountain; and this was what happened when he came back:

Exodus 34:29-30
King James Version
29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

When Moses spent forty days and nights on the mountain with God, he came back carrying the two tablets of testimony; his face shone so brightly that the people were afraid to come near him. That radiant face was evidence that Moses had been with God.

But more than his shining face, look at what Moses did after that encounter:

Exodus 34:33-35
New King James Version
33 And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.

34 But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take the veil off until he came out; and he would come out and speak to the children of Israel whatever he had been commanded.

35 And whenever the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.

He went in before the Lord regularly to speak with Him without a veil; he came out and spoke to the people all that God had commanded him. That meeting with God didn’t leave him timid or uncertain; it left him with a settled authority to declare God’s words and lead the people.

After this special retreat on the mountain, we see him stepping into leadership with a different kind of confidence; going up and down the mountain to intercede, receiving God’s instructions face to face, and delivering them without fear. That is what a life-shaping meeting with God looks like. It strips away self-doubt and equips you to stand firmly in your calling.

And so, just like Moses, when we come into this meeting expecting God to touch us, we too will be radiant with the glory of God.

And look at Jesus before He began His ministry; after being baptized, the Spirit led Him into the wilderness to spend time with the Father:

Luke 4:1-2; 14-15
King James Version
1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil…

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

Jesus spent forty days in the wilderness, and when He returned, He returned in the power of the Spirit; He began His ministry.

And what about David and his mighty men? They gathered to him in the cave of Adullam; distressed, discontented, in debt; but they spent time together with David; and they became mighty men:

1 Samuel 22:1-2
King James Version
1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam; and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.

2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them.

And look at what they became:

2 Samuel 23:8-10
King James Version
8 These be the names of the mighty men whom David had…he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite…

10 he arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day.

Every time we see God’s people retreat like this, every time they spend that special time together, they come back as men and women shaped for the work of God; they come back equipped for His purpose.

This is precisely what this Catalyst Camp will accomplish!
This is why we hold this special meeting every year, and it’s what God is determined to do again this time.

So, I charge you: as we prepare, let’s put aside every distraction. Prepare your hearts and minds with intentionality and believe that God is here to do a deep work within us.
Be eager, be expectant, because when we set ourselves apart like this, we will leave as giants for Jesus, much bolder to do all that God has sent us to do!

Prayer point
Father, I declare that in Shekinah I become the man you will have me be.
