Fasting & Prayer: Day 3
1 Corinthians 15:58
You’ve been here before, not in this exact moment, but in sacred spaces like this, where God called His people apart for something specific. You’ve felt that quiet pull in your Spirit. And yet, even with all you’ve seen, there’s more. God is calling again. Not because the last meeting wasn’t enough, but because He is not done with you.
Every time God gathers His people for a special meeting, a retreat, or in this case, a camp meeting, He has a purpose in mind. These are not ordinary gatherings. They are divinely orchestrated seasons where God reveals Himself, His plans, and His power to as many who desire it. The heart of such gatherings is to produce men and women who leave not the same as they came: transformed, renewed, and equipped to fulfil His calling.
As we prepare our hearts for this special meeting, let us set our focus on what God seeks to accomplish in us, so that our expectations align with His intention.
One of the most powerful outcomes of a divine meeting is clarity. Some believers walk through life unsure of their place in God’s grand design. But God, in His mercy, uses seasons of consecration to open our eyes to His specific call on our lives. And no one truly meets God and remains the same!
Isaiah 6:8
New King James Version
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’
Before that vision, Isaiah was already a prophet, but this encounter deepened his understanding of God’s purpose for him. In the same way, many times, a special meeting is God’s avenue to bring clarity to our uncertainties.
Paul also had a similar experience. On the road to Damascus, Paul was stopped in his tracks by the risen Christ. What followed was a life of radical obedience because of that one encounter!
Acts 9:3-6
New King James Version
3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.
4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
This meeting will make you sure of what God has called you to do. There will be no more guesswork. No more wandering in circles. You will leave with the assurance that you have heard God and you know your assignment, and as a result of this encounter, just like Paul, you will be able to say “… I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.” (Acts 26:19)
In today’s world, many believers consciously or unconsciously water down their convictions through compromise, comfort, and the pressures of conformity. But when God calls a meeting, He does so to strengthen the inner man. It reignites that fire within us that cannot be quenched.
Acts 4:20
New King James Version
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
This was no ordinary courage. A special meeting like this is an encounter with Jesus that leaves no room for wavering. Our convictions and the power of God will be reinforced through prayer, the teaching of the word and impartations!
1 Corinthians 15:58
New King James Version
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
God will use this meeting to raise men and women who are steadfast and immovable, who will not retreat in the face of opposition.
God does not call us just to know the call or to believe in it. He calls us to live it out radically! Every special meeting imparts in us the zeal to go beyond the ordinary. The early church was born in such a meeting, the upper room, where the Holy Spirit descended. From there, the apostles stepped out with boldness and power, carrying a fire that spread across cities and nations, shaking systems and transforming lives!!
This meeting is also going to birth in you a radical mindset towards ministry. Radical ministry means ministry that is not satisfied with mediocrity. It means preaching the gospel with boldness, laying hands on the sick, discipling nations, and making Christ known at any cost. This drive comes not from self but from God.
Acts 1:8
New King James Version
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
The meeting we are about to have is not just a gathering of men. It is a commissioning ground, where we are equipped with power and passion to serve radically, love deeply, and labour sacrificially.
Too often, we get distracted by our own ambitions, even in ministry. But in His presence, the fog clears, and we see as He sees. This meeting will realign our ambitions, our desires, and our priorities.
Finally, we must remember that God’s purpose in gathering us is not for temporary excitement, but lasting fruitfulness.
John 15:16
New King James Version
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain…
God will use this meeting to plant seeds that will bear fruit not just for a moment but for a lifetime. We will leave as people who impact families, communities, and nations, whose ministry produces lasting results.
Do you believe it?
As we approach this special meeting, let us not come casually. Let us come with hearts prepared to hear God, to be changed, and to be sent out with clarity, conviction, and power.
Prayer Point
Lord, in this meeting, strengthen my convictions. Set me on fire to be radical for you. Strip away every confusion, distraction, and fear and help me walk boldly in full obedience to Your assignment for my life.
