Ephesians 3:20
Every believer is highly combustible and fire is a metaphor for a vibrant spiritual work. In science, we learned about potential and kinetic energy.
Potential energy is energy at rest. It refers to energy stored up and would need a trigger to activate it. Kinetic energy is energy in motion. For instance, when you raise a hammer over your head it has potential energy. It has the potential to break something but it won’t act long as it is stationary but as you drop the hammer towards something, it gains kinetic energy, and only then can it break something.
Just like in that hammer, present in the believer is the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit. The power and the gifts of God are stored up in you.
Ephesians 1:13

13 In Him, you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
You may have read this text so many times that you haven’t taken the time to fully grasp what is being said here. Maybe if you think about the reputation of the Holy Spirit then you’d see better what exactly you’ve received.
Judges 14:6

6 And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.
Exodus 14:21
New King James Version
21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
These feats were attained by men in the Old Testament that had the spirit of God upon them. They did things that defied the laws of nature. The Bible records Isaiah calling down physical fire from the sky. And these men only had the Spirit upon them. Meaning that what they had was temporary- only for a specific time and purpose. They didn’t have the indwelling of the Spirit. Moses even longed for a time when all God’s people could have the Spirit upon them.
Numbers 11:29
New King James Version
29 Then Moses said to him, “Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”
But little did Moses know that God had something far better in mind. That God would go as far as putting the Holy Spirit in the hearts of all his people. Not upon this time, but within! This same Spirit that empowered men to tear lions apart with their bare hands, to part seas, to call down tangible, visible, material fire from the skies, has now been made available to you forever.
Matthew 12:10-13

10 And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—that they might accuse Him.
11 Then He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?
12 Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13 Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.”
Acts 3:2-6

2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.

5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Acts 8:6-8

6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.
8 And there was great joy in that city.”
These are the exploits done by men who had the spirit of God dwelling in them. They could work miracles and even cast our devils. You must understand that you have been given a new identity as a man in Christ.
Ephesians 2:1-2

1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
Before Christ, you were subject to the devices of the devil without hope in this world. Sickness didn’t have a cure, and demons were a thing to be feared. But see what has happened now that you have been born again.
Mark 16:17-18
New King James Version
17 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
The Bible says that signs follow after you. You don’t have to chase after them. The power is resident in you. When the Holy Spirit came, he came with the fullness of his power. You’ve been blessed with every spiritual blessing. It is yours in the spirit.
Luke 10:19
New King James Version
19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
You have authority over all the power of the evil one. Meaning that you will never encounter a demon that you can’t cast out. You will never encounter an affliction of the enemy that you cannot destroy. You’re seated in heavenly places far above principalities and powers. It is who you are!
Ephesians 3:20

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
All this power is in a man who has the Holy Ghost. You are a dynamo. You have so much power working on your inside. That power is Dynamis. Dynamis is ability. It is potential.
Every believer has immense power on the inside. You are dynamite. The power at work in you is dynamic in its working, meaning that it is active and able to do work. However, this would only be your reality if you stir it up and you can do so in the place of prayer.
This energy would remain potential until you stir it up in the place of prayer.
James 5:17-18
New King James Version
17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
The Bible drew a comparison between you and Elijah, and it’s saying that Elijah is just like you, and the reason he saw the kind of power he saw was directly tied to the kind of prayers he prayed. There’s a saying that we say many times, “If you pray the way they prayed, you will see what they saw.” Potential power becomes dynamic after you stir it up!
A good analogy for this would be fire. There are three things needed to ignite a fire and it is called the fire triangle: oxygen, heat, and fuel. As long as there is oxygen, there is fuel and finally, there is heat, there would be a fire. This analogy serves not just for a vibrant spiritual work but also for the activation of the supernatural in your life. Once there is fuel, oxygen serves as the potential power in you. You are already a believer. All that remains is a spark. There is a point where the spark happens. Until the temperature rises to the point where it is hot enough to ignite fuel, it’ll remain dormant.
Liken this to when you pray, you are increasing the temperature, reaching something called Flashpoint, igniting the potential power on your inside.
At flashpoint, anything is possible and everything possible can happen. Mountains can move, the sick can be healed, and demons can be cast out. Flashpoint is where potential power has been made kinetic! Where dormant gifts come alive!
So are you ready to stir up all the dormant gifts, prophecies, instructions, and assignments and give them direction?
Prayer Point:
As I pray now I rise in fervency, I stir up the ability of God within me. I walk in power. I am a dynamo and my world will see it. No gift, prophecy, instruction or assignment is permitted to lie dormant.
