GO: THE TIME IS NOW
Genesis 12:1-4
We have just concluded our 7 days of Glory and what a glorious experience. We witnessed the Lord do what he does best; we counted numerous testimonies and the glory of God was manifested in our midst.
The Lord released to us the weight of His glory and surely we have received words, visions, plans, and instructions. The real question is, “How will you respond to this?” You have experienced His Glory, seen visions, and been given instructions; what is your response to these?
We have prayed, brooded in the glory and the Lord has told us what to do so the only thing left to do is go. We must respond to glory by taking action.
Genesis 12:1-4
New King James Version
1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
Look at the story of Abraham. The Lord spoke to Abraham and told him to leave everything he had known and even his family and go to a land He would show him. And without hesitation, without explanation, he did as he was instructed.
Something similar happens again,
Genesis 22:1-3
New King James Version
1 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”
2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.
God told Abraham to sacrifice his beloved son, the son he was promised and what was his response? The Bible says he woke up early in the morning and went on his way to do exactly what God had said no questions asked. He didn’t waste any time.
What are those visions? What are those instructions? However big or outrageous they seem, the time to start is now. Can you be like Abraham, that after you have heard from the Lord you rise early to do his bidding?
Acts 1:8
New King James Version
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””
Before Jesus’ ascension into heaven, He left the disciples with this word; that when the Holy Spirit came they would be witnesses of him in Jerusalem and in all of Judea. Then in the next chapter see what happens:
Acts 2:14-16
New King James Version
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.
15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.
16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
Immediately the Holy Spirit fell on those in the upper room, in that same day, in that same moment, Peter began witnessing Jesus.
When you’ve received the instruction, you’ve gotten clarity and you have the glory of God backing you, what are you waiting for? The more time you waste hesitating on whether or not you should act on those words, the more room you are giving for doubt. The flesh will creep in and you’ll be dissuaded from taking action.
We must respond to the glory with consecration to His will. Just like the disciples of Jesus, we must wrought the results of what we have seen and experienced. You can’t experience the glory and not respond with consecration to his plans, and obedience to his instructions.
Isaiah 6:7-8
New King James Version
7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.”
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Isaiah, in a vision, saw the glory of God and was transformed by it. After the coal touched his lips, his immediate response was “Send me!” He didn’t think about himself, his life, or whatever he may have to leave behind. He immediately said send me!
The capital for all that the Lord has asked us to do in the instruction to go because he does not intend for us to accomplish anything on our own. We are going knowing that we have supply, resources, help, and everything we need to accomplish his will.
Romans 12:1
New King James Version
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
We are to present ourselves as living sacrifices; that is to say that though we live, we are dead to our desires; dead to the flesh, dead to our own will, and solely given to the plans of God. This is our disposition leaving the 7 days of glory. We are ready and willing to run with God’s visions.
So, if you’ve been looking for a sign or a confirmation to start, this is your sign. This is your confirmation. Start, the time is now. There is no more room to waste time in this year of the glory. Don’t procrastinate or give excuses; you’ve been empowered for every good work and the glory is on your side.
