These 4 days that we have to pray together, I have only one desire and that is to see every one of you reach a height in the spirit of corporate prayers that would cause a domino effect in your devotions to God.

I want to raise your fervency level to a level of sustenance that would leave you burning consistently. I want to help you reach a stage in your walk with God where your burning desire would be the secret place. I want to help you know how to navigate your adventures in prayer. I want to help you reach a stage of hunger in your walk with God where you desire more and not less and are not afraid to ask for help when you know you are out of your depths.

I want to bring to your minds two quotes from a Man of Prayer, one whose words I ponder from time to time.

“We would not have anyone think that the value of prayer is to be measured by the clock, but our purpose is to impress on our minds the necessity of being much alone with God.” – E M Bounds

Another thing he said is:
“Desire is Silent, Prayer is Heard” – E M Bounds

These are two things I want you to spend your whole day pondering on; that you can restore yourself to a life of prayer where you are much more alone with God and communicating with him always.

On this note, I will be taking a letter approach I coined from the Apostle Paul to communicate the couple of teachings that would help you achieve the goals stated above.

God has blessed his church with all that they need to lead an effective life as believers. And I want to remind you of this same ancient truth. God has blessed the members of The Catalyst Church with ALL we need to lead an effective life as believers. We don’t lack.
When you need to be stirred up to pray, remember you have all you need. This is how the Apostle Peter put it:

II Peter 1:1-3

New King James Version

1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

He says that his divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and Godliness. This is what an Apostle who was with Jesus one whom Jesus called a rock had to say. He wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t a true teaching of Jesus.
Reckon this, you have received all that pertains to life and Godliness.

All you need you have!

The more you bring this to your consciousness the better you would get in your walk with God. Hence the Bible can instruct you to be filled with the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:18-19

New King James Version

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

It’s an instruction and we have this instruction because God has made provision. Wine is an influencer and the Bible says that the Spirit is also an influence. So be filled with the Spirit.
You have what you need in the Spirit what you need is to learn how to stir it up.

John 7:37-39

New King James Version

37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

At salvation, a well was created in you. A well that can never run dry. And so when you need to be filled, all you need is right there inside of you.

You have a well. You have rivers of living water inside of you. You would never thirst again.

Today my focus is on the knowledge of all you have in Christ.

You must reckon with this today. Declare it, ‘I have all that I need for life and Godliness.’
I reckon that I have got the fire of the Holy Ghost inside of me. I reckon that I have rivers of living water inside of me. I can remain filled forever because I can take from within and put upon when I need to.
I can draw from the well.

I leave you with these final words from my teaching on Fervour: the Life of Prayer. I gave a few instructions on how to build your prayer altar and arguably the most important one and that which I want to emphasize in today’s prayer meeting is the power of Sight or we can call it the power of Imagination.

Two believers anywhere under the same circumstances won’t have the same results. Their results would be based on the degree of their imagination, faith, and supernatural psychology. So today, see and know that you have all you need. Believe it, embody it, and pray towards it.

I have a matchstick that can set my prayer altar on fire. I have the fuel that can set my prayer altar on fire. I am not far from where I need to be and it’s my life.
No one teaches an eagle how to fly instinctively it knows what to do. Reckon this today you were born to burn.
Say it wherever you are, ‘I was born to burn and it doesn’t matter where my devotion is, I burn for Jesus.’

Prayerfully,
Pastor Michael Ipaye.
