In the final teaching of the Paraclete series, we explore one of the most profound works of the Holy Spirit: resurrection.

The Holy Spirit is not only a comforter, counsellor, or teacher. His work goes beyond revivals in cities. His primary work is the revival of men from death to life. He is the life-giving Spirit, the One who brings the dead back to life.

After Jesus died, Scripture no longer referred to Him as the only begotten Son, but as the first begotten from the dead. This reveals something powerful: the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead was already at work in Him.

Resurrection was not external; the mechanism of life was within Him.

And now, that same Spirit lives in us. Because you have the Holy Spirit, the power of resurrection is already at work in you. We have this assurance in Christ. We carry a life-giving Spirit. Death does not have the final word; life does.
