If you believe in the gospel, you have the Holy Spirit living within you. And if you have the Holy Spirit in you, it means that you can express all the gifts of the Spirit.

In this teaching, we are taught to earnestly desire these gifts, pray about being expressive of them, and honoring the brethren enough to receive from them, as these gifts are for the edification of the church. We are to be ready to supply the needs of our brothers and sisters at all times.
